Lupe or "Gramma Lulu" as she was affectionately called, was a loving mother and grandmother who supported her children in all of their endeavors. Lupe immigrated to the United States in 1951 with her husband Reginaldo Pena Pena who preceded her in death in 1985. She worked side by side with her husband as a farm laborer for many years while raising her children.
She leaves behind her childen, Sylvia JP Gonzales, Reginaldo Pena, Jr., Rosa Linda Larssen, Gloria P. Cortez and her husband Jesse T. Cortez, Daniel Pena and Robert Pena; 11 grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
