Guadalupe Guerrero Sanchez

Guadalupe G. Sanchez of Caruthers,California passed away August 15, 2014 at the age of 65. Guadalupe was born in Mission, Texas on June 30, 1949. She grew up in Mexico. There she met and married Carlos Sanchez. They married on December 3, 1966. They moved to Caruthers, California in 1966 then started a family.

Guadalupe was a homemaker who loved her rose garden and loved planting flowers. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, puzzles and was very crafty. She enjoyed volunteering at the food bank. She especially loved going to church and bible studies, where she enjoyed singing with her friends and going to retreats with them. She loved spending time with her grandkids, making them laugh and teaching them Spanish.

She is survived by her husband Carlos Sanchez of Caruthers, California, Her daughter Janet Alvarez and son-in-law Sal of Caruthers, California. Her son Richard Sanchez and daughter-in-law Zuima of Fresno, California, her daughter Diana Chow and son-in-law Jeff of Caruthers, California, her son Mike Sanchez and daughter-in-law Maria of Raisin City, California, her son Roy Sanchez and daughter-in-law Lupita of Fresno, California, and her son Mark Sanchez of Caruthers,California. Her love and loss will be felt by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank all those who took great care of her these last 6 months. From her doctors, the medical staff at the hospital and hospice, her neighbors, her church friends and bible study friends and anyone else that was there to keep her company and made her smile.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Caruthers located at 13540 South Henderson Road, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 viewing starting at 4:00 pm and then followed by the rosary at 6:30 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 12:00 pm.

Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens,175 South Cornelia Ave. Fresno, California 93706.
