Helen Jennie Calderon Rivera

She met Jess Rivera in 1954, and they were married on April 23, 1955. They celebrated 58 years of marriage. She attended Clovis schools. Helen worked for Raintree Convalescent Home for 20 years as a Laundry Supervisor.

Helen enjoyed cooking, cleaning, shopping, yard sales and taking trips to Ensenada and San Francisco. She and Jess loved dancing. Helen brought a lot of happiness and laughter to those around her with a witty sense of humor. Her positive energy and smile was contagious, she was loving and very generous. Helen was a great woman of strength, perseverance and had a beautiful spirit. Her love will live on through those who loved her the most.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Natividad; and sister Virginia.

Helen is survived by her husband Jess; sons, Eddie and his wife Tina; and Gilbert; daughter, Linda Tully and her husband Rick; three grandsons, Eric, Anthony Tully and Gilbert, Jr.; granddaughter Kristina; four great-grandchildren, Eric Sam, Ethan, twins, Brian and Briana Tully. She leaves behind brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint John's Cathedral on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. Followed by a Burial at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
