Ida was born on September 23, 1935, in Oklahoma. She passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the age of 77. She moved to California in her childhood. She was preceded in death by one son Dennis, in 1974 at the age of 16; and her husband, Manuel Ponte Sr. They met and married, making a home in Kerman.

She is survived by two children, Christopher Ponte and Dana Ponte; and two grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 am.
