Janice Elizabeth Bosch

Jan was born on November 8, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Geraldine Novotny. She was one of six siblings and grew up surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her siblings: Patricia Ward; Barb and Jeff Mitchell; Betty and William Sheckler; Sue and Rick Williams; and John and Shirley Novotny. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geraldine Novotny, and her mother-in-law, Rosemary Bosch.

At 16 years old, Jan met the love of her life, Tim Bosch. Their love story carried her from Ohio to California in 1976, and they were married on June 24, 1977. Tim and Jan built a beautiful life rooted in faith, devotion, and family. They raised their two daughters in California while intentionally spending summers back in Ohio, ensuring their girls grew up closely connected to their Midwest family.

Jan is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Bosch; her daughters, Kristin Takemoto (Jarrod Takemoto) and Karen Trogdon (Zac Trogdon); and her cherished grandchildren; Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Claire, and Owen, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Jan dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving as an educator with Clovis Unified School District, where she faithfully poured into the lives of countless students. Her kindness, patience, and steady encouragement left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She was an active member of Trinity Community Church in Fresno faithfully attending her weekly bible study group, Sister2Sister. Her faith guided her life, and she lived it out with grace, humility, and a deep love for others.

Jan found joy in traveling to Yosemite and California’s Central Coast, bike riding with Tim and her grandchildren, and simply being together as a family. Her warm smile, gentle strength, and unwavering love will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Community Church, 12168 North Willow Avenue, Clovis, CA 93619.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Deacon Fund at Trinity Community Church in memory of Jan.
