Janice Elizabeth Palumbo passed away on May 6 at the age of 73. Born on January 24, 1951, Janice was the only child of Vincent and Anne Palumbo. Janice become a loving, dedicated caretaker for her grandmother, aunt and uncle, and father in their elderly years. She is survived by her only son, Matthew, her step sister Kim Sanders, and dozens of loving friends.
Janice attended St. Helens, then graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969. She attended Fresno City College. She was married to Tim Tanney.
Janice was an adventurous woman. She enjoyed travel, Broadway musicals and plays, adventurous new experiences, and great dining. Janice was a kind, generous woman who accepted people without judgement. She brought happiness into the lives of those who were blessed with her friendship. She will be greatly missed.
A service will be held at the Newman Center in Fresno on Tuesday, June 4th, followed by a reception.
