Janie Cantu passed away to her heavenly home on Sunday June 14th at the age of 70. She was born December 15th 1949 in Corpus Christi Texas, to Josephina and Jesus Gonzalez.

She is survived by her children son, Ronnie Cantu and wife Rochelle, son Kevin Cantu, and daughter Christina Cantu. Janie also has her grandchildren, Pauline, Kevin, Christian, Sara, Justice, Maxine, Reese, Elijah, and grandson on the way. Blessed with three great grandchildren Josline, Aiden, Aria.

Janie is the oldest of 12 siblings 4 living sisters, 6 living brothers, and one brother in heaven. She married Rudy Cantu In 1973, I left Texas to travel with him while he served in the military. Which brought her to Fresno California in 1983 which is where she made the beginning of her new home.

Janie worked for 25 years for Fresno unified school district also served 5 years at Saint Helens Catholic Church Altar Guild.

During all these many years she touched people's heart and lives, Janie is going to be missed by so many people who considered her to be their best friend, nana, mom, Tia, sister, etc.

There has been nothing but kind thoughts and memories from everyone who has crossed her path.
