

Born on January 5, 1955, in Jalisco, Mexico to Juan and Margarita Zuniga. Jesse came to the United States at the age of three and grew up in Harris Ranch, where he attended Westside Elementary and Riverdale High School . Upon graduation from Riverdale High School Jesse attended UC Santa Cruz, . Jesse moved to Modesto with his wife Anita, where he raised his two daughters, Melissa and Leticia eventually moving back to Fresno and welcoming another daughter Jessica. Jesse loved to spend time with his family, enjoying barbecues and just joking around with his family. Jesse liked having roosters back in the ranch and his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers was evident to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and spending time at the casino. His passion for music, especially listening to Vicente Fernandez, was well-known amongst all those who knew him.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Anita Zuniga, and his daughters: Melissa Maestas and her husband Mike, Leticia Saldivar and her husband Allan, and Jessica Zuniga and her husband David Lopez. He is also survived by his siblings Ines Hernandez, Carmen Montoya, Dolores Ramirez, Mary Pulido, Isabel Brewer, Eugenia Zuniga, Rosa Zuniga, Frank Zuniga, as well as ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church, located at 2838 N. West Ave, Fresno, CA, 93705, on October 15, 2025, starting at 9:00 am. This will be followed by a prayer service at 9:30 am and a funeral mass at 10:00 am.
Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery & Veterans Memorial in Laton
