Jesus was first and foremost a family man who loved to be surrounded by his 12 children, 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Jesus will be remembered for his laughter, his love of music, dancing and his gardening. He took great pride in each and every one of us left behind.

Special thanks and recognition is extended to Optimal Hospice, Greg, Debbie and Mario for their care and compassion during his final days.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Marcelina Garcia; sisters, Dolores, Teresa and Juanita; daughter, Gracie; and granddaughter, Ana Alcaraz.

Jesus is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosa Olivares Garcia; his children, Yolanda McLaughlin, Juan Garcia, Rosa Hinkly, Maria Sipin, Joe Garcia, Tony Garcia, Grace Swarm, Manuel Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Patricia Garcia, Laura Garcia and Elizabeth Garcia. He is also survived by his siblings, Gloria, Guadalupe, Maria Bernardina, Gerardo and Luciano as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 a.m.
