Joe Trejo III

Joe Trejo III, 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 7, 2024. Born February 27, 1939, he lived a life of hard work and heartbreaking tragedy, but even through tragedy, he was still a fun, loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was a retired United States Postal Worker and also a retired Fresno Unified District employee. He worked even after retirement as a custodian and stayed busy at home working on his yard. Through his hard work, Joe was always there for family. Along with his wife Peggy, they took care of their family, even having different family living with them throughout the years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe Trejo and Josephine Chavarria Trejo, brother Ricky Trejo, sisters Mary Lou Pules and Lorraine De La Cruz, great grandson Noah Trejo, sons Ricky Trejo and Joe “Joey” Trejo IV, and his wife Margaret “Peggy” Trejo.

He is survived by daughter Michele Batara, grandchildren Kristyn and her husband Aaron Walker, Haley Hill, and Jonathon Trejo, and great grandchildren Karsyn and August Walker, and Carter, Zayden, and Mason Trejo.

The family will be holding a private memorial ceremony in honor of Joe.
