

Joseph Edward Pazzi Jr. passed away at age 77 on April 25, 2025, in Madera, CA after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born on January 7,1948 to Joseph and Marie Pazzi in Fresno, CA. As a kid, Joe was a wonderful son spending time in activities such as bike rides with friends, studying history and literature at San Joaquin Memorial, working at United Grocers, and some notables like attending opening day of Disneyland, hiking half dome (twice), and meeting JFK. Joe developed lifetime hobbies that included his love for cars, reading mystery novels, hiking, and going on travel adventures.
In Joe’s adult life, he continued his interests in social studies obtaining higher education degrees in business and education. He was always passionate about education and soon after college became a bright and dedicated high school teacher with mastery in classes including world history, geography, economics, government and the precursor to computer science. He taught for an incredible 40 years, sharing his knowledge to the youth in classes at school districts including Los Banos, Chowchilla, and Clovis. Joe could not go out on a Friday night without running into a past student that would be so excited to see him and thank him for the impact he had made on their life.
In his later adult life, Joe found the love of his life and started a family, becoming a husband to his wife Ann, and a father to his children Alyssa and Joey. With his family, you could find Joe enjoying activities such as long walks with his wife, tending to his garden, watching his children’s soccer games, playing with his German Shepherd, watching Giant’s baseball games, and barbequing for family get togethers.
Joe was preceded in death by his father Joe Sr., mother Marie, and his beloved German Shepherd Chelsea. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ann Pazzi. His daughter Alyssa Pazzi, his son Joey Pazzi, and his daughter-in-law Ana Pazzi.
