Joyce K. Brengetto was born in 1944 in Akron, Ohio to Richard and Florence Foster. Joyce passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2024 surrounded by family. Joyce grew up in Minnesota and loved spending time with her friends fishing in the lake near her home. As a young adult she moved to California to be near her parents and began her career with Fresno County in 1976. The last several years working for the county she was a Social Worker Supervisor and really enjoyed helping families in need of assistance. Joyce was an artist who had a passion for oil painting and truly loved being with her family to celebrate birthdays or any holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Florence, her husband and love of her life for nearly 40 years, Gene Brengetto and also her siblings Virginia, Betty, Barbara and Richard.
Joyce is survived by her daughters Rhonda Olague, Susan Brown and partner Aaron Kinderknecht, Katrina Williams and her husband Dave, Karen Dyar and husband Scott. She is also survived by grandsons Jared Dyar and wife Brook, Mike Olague, Jake Olague, great-grandsons Kingston Dyar, Stanley Olague, siblings Janet Knickerbocker, Brian Foster, many nieces and nephews as well as several members of the Brengetto family whom she was close to most of her life.
Service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 50 E. Santa Ana Ave, Fresno, CA 93704 on Monday, September 23, 2024 there will be a viewing at 9:00 am and followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 am.
Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
