Karen was born in Fresno on Christmas day 1957 and died Christmas Eve day 2013. She was a soft spoken person. Dedicated to her friends and family, but mostly to her classroom students. She has been a teacher at Viking Elementary for a number of years.
Karen is survived by her parents, Melvin and Elaine Bisgaard; her sister, Kathleen Merritt; a niece Linda Levesque and her husband Mike their two children Mason and Ellie; and a nephew Ruber' Gonzalez and his son Anthony. In Tacoma, Washington an Aunt, Barbara Hartung and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
