Dear Kip,
Our paths crossed in Flint when I married your mom and ended when we divorced after bringing you and Kindra to Fresno. You were a special young man with great potential. I pray for your family, your daughters, and your soul.

Uncle Kip, 

I still remember when I was 8 years old (wow, 20 years ago?!), you took me to Walmart to pick out a gift for my birthday. After walking round and around I ended up choosing a purple bath rob with a cat on it. Then afterwards we got a McFlurry with mini m&ms from McDonald’s. And all the birthdays to follow you always got me the quirkiest presents, and every time we visited you, you shared new and sometimes funky snacks. That last gift you gave me was a giant stuffed Charmander pokémon and the last time Mom and I visited you and the girls, you sent me home with a new box of Star Wars themed Oreo cookies.

I will always remember you as a warm and kind soul, who never wanted to see anyone sad or upset. You cared and loved your family so much. One of the best things about you was your goofy sense of humor. I can hear your laugh if I just imagine. 

Uncle Kip I hope you know how much our family loves you. I’m sorry you carried so much pain but you’re in Heaven now so I know you’re at peace and surrounded with overwhelming love and joy.

I love you and miss you more than I can say or express. I look forward to crackin’ jokes and hearing you laugh and sharing new snacks in Heaven.

I got the pleasure of meeting Kip and his amazing family sometime ago. They are very beautiful people with beautiful hearts and souls. We always had a good time when we got together. Times that I will cherish and truly miss. My heart breaks for him, his children, his parents and his family, I pray that they are able to find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering.

We both share a love for Jollibee fried chicken. Of all the places we could’ve made a rest stop along highway 99, both our families ended up meeting at a Jollibee restaurant.  On the same day, same time, & same restaurant. We were surprised, shock, & happy to see everyone.

I remember you pulling up to Gramas House on Deckerville Road with your dad in that big Uhaul Truck. 
And you climbing out and jumping down into a snow bank taller than you! You were completely buried LOL. 
I still smile today remembering you being buried over your head in that snow, you were about 4 or 5 and you wasn't scared one bit!

May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who loves the family, be near you now. May the Lord who can make sense of the senseless, restore purpose to the meaningless, and turn any tragedy into triumph comfort your hearts. No matter how many pieces into which a vessel has been shattered, He is able to return it on His wheel and bring glory out of despair. Kip I have wonderful memories of you when you were a little boy. You were so full of life.  I still have the card you made me when you were little. You will be missed by many people. I remember Kip and Kindra as little kids. Always thought about how cute they were. I knew Greg and Becky years ago. My heart and deepest condolences to his family. His mom, dad, siblings and, his wife and children. Such a terrible loss at a young age.
