

Larry C. Yepers, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 28, 1937 in Douglas, Arizona and moved his way towards Southern California where he and his wife, Alma Yepers, lived most of their lives raising their family.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a Tank Operator. After his time serving in the U.S. Army; he married his long time girlfriend, Alma Gomez Azuara. Shortly after, he began his true passion as a pilot. He then worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft as a supervisor for 10 years. Several career decisions later he became a business owner as an Agricultural Pilot and continued this profession the rest of his years in El Centro, California.
Larry is survived by his beloved honey, Alma, who was his constant supporter and source of strength; his 3 children Blanca Yepers, Dori (Richard) Contreras, Larry Yepers Jr.; grandchildren Jessica (Julio) Almodovar, Monisha (Jessie) Romero, Destiny Contreras, Ashlee Contreras, and Lawrence James Yepers; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
You are invited to gather in remembrance and celebrate the life of Larry. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, located at 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720 followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM followed by a few words given by Pastor Richard Contreras.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Saint John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, CA 93721, followed immediately after the funeral mass by a committal graveside service at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Larry's legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
