Lawrence Anthony Gonzales, 75, of Fresno, CA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 8, 2022. Lawrence had a profound impact on everyone in his life. Chito was the 8th of 10 children to parents Audencio Jose Gonzales and Katherine Acosta. He will always be a great brother, a devoted Dad, and a super cool Papa.
Lawrence served in the United States Army in 1968 during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He also worked for the City of Fresno for over 10 years. He loved spending time with his family and helping others in his community. He served as an usher for over 10 years at Sacred Heart Church and was the President of the Fresno Chapter for the Sociedad Edad de Oro.
He was a loving partner to Rosemary for over 30 years and they were both the best dancers at the party. Aside from being survived by his partner, Lawrence also leaves behind his 4 siblings, 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
We will always miss his presence and his love for he always did everything he could for his family. “Better believe it.”
