Leanne LaVonne Nelson

From the time of her birth it was obvious that Leanne was a very special person. She was an original member of the first class of the Lori Ann Infant Program for special needs children. Leanne had many interests throughout her life. She was active in the Special Olympics programs including swimming, skiing, bowling and gymnastics. Over the years her competition in these activities won her many medals. Leanne was also a faithful attendee of the Overcomers Sunday School Class at Peoples Church.

Leanne made a positive impression and lasting impact on everyone who came in contact with her. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her willing and helpful attitude and her eagerness to be an active participant.

Leanne was preceded in death by her father Aaron, her sister Karen and her brother Kenneth. She is survived by her mother Darlene, sister-in-law Doreen Nelson, niece Danielle Nelson, uncle Robert Becker and wife Sandy, and numerous cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held October 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM, G.L. Johnson Chapel, Peoples Church 7172 N. Cedar Ave. Fresno CA. Visitation will be October 28 from 2 PM to 5 PM at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Fresno, CA. A Graveside Service will be held October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sanger Cemetery.
