Born on February 18, 1942, in McAllen, Texas, to parents Jose and Dora Garcia, Lester and his siblings were raised to help create a legacy of love and dedication to his family and community. Lester was the proud owner of Jamie's Auto Dismantling for over 50 years and managed several rental properties throughout Fresno. His professional endeavors were always marked by his integrity and commitment.
In 1963, Lester married his beloved wife, Delphina Garcia, whom he met at the Rainbow Ballroom in Fresno, California. Together, they raised their two sons, Jamie and Chris, in Fresno and were later blessed with four grandchildren.
Lester had a huge passion for fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He also had a love for hot rods and cars in general. His personal interests reflected his love for the outdoors and his unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Lester was preceded in death by his wife, Delphina Garcia, his brothers, Jim Garcia and Eloy Garcia, and his sisters, Gladys Guerra, Gloria Rivas, and Dolores Garcia. Lester is survived by his brother, Larry Garcia, his sons, Jamie Garcia and Chris Garcia and his wife Cristy Garcia, as well as his grandchildren, Christa Garcia, Nicole Nolte, Gabriel Simental, and Arianna Simental.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary for Lester will be held on October 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California. The funeral service will take place on October 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 4636 W Dakota Avenue, Fresno, California. The Committal Service will follow, taking place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, located at 264 N Blythe Avenue, Fresno, California.
