Lewis Robert Colmenero

Lewis worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for Bonners /Valley Fig Growers for over 38 years. On November 1, 1953 he married Benselada Arias and together they raised seven children.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Juana Colmenero; his brothers, Jesus and Frank Colmenero; and sisters, Stella Palcencia and Annie Salvio; and one granddaughter, Salisha Delgado.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Benselada Colmenero; children, Mary Frances Mejia, Eileen Gonzalez, Robert, Michael, Phillip and Linda Colmenero of Fresno, and Patricia Jaurigue of Del Rey; brothers, Felix and Phillip Colmenero, and sister Maria Colmenero; three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Johns Cathedral, on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. followed by interment at Saint Peter's Cemetery.
