It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Ackel, 79, announce her passing on February 23, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Tempe, Arizona on April 4, 1945. Later, at the age of ten, she moved to Fresno, CA. She graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1963.
Lillian Ackel led a life committed to treating everyone with kindness and loved meeting new people and celebrating life with friends and family. A woman who never allowed anyone to silence her. A dignified woman who raised two daughters and was the care taker of her mother, Betty Lugo, until she passed away in June of 2020. Lillian was always a person whose family, and friends knew she would be there for them for anything.
She survived by her daughters, Anna Perez and Bianca Contreras along with her granddaughters, Chelsee Jacinto, Gabrielle Jacinto, Salma Contreras and Isla Contreras, sisters Cecilia Steward, Karen Aguilera, brothers Fernando Ackel and Tyrone Lugo. She joined her mother and eldest brother James Ackel, niece Lisa Sabbatino.
