
Mr. Pimentel served his country during World War II. He was responsible for the transport and security of prisoners in the United States. After the military he did different contracting work, until going to work for Fres- no Distributing. He retired from Fresno Distributing after 30 years.
Mr. Pimentel spent many years in his free time collecting cans near his home. The money that he would earn from recycling was always donated to a Children's Hospital Central California. The hospital was a special place that he held dear to his heart since he had a granddaughter and great grandson that spent time there at one time. Mr. Pimentel also loved the outdoors and spent family trips camping throughout his life.
Mr. Pimentel is survived by his wife, Edith Markeeta Pimentel; son, Larry L. Pimentel and wife Joy; daughter, Lynn C Pimentel; granddaughters, Cathy McFadon, Carla Petersdorf, Michelle Barber; great-grandchildren, Zachary Petersdorf, Nathan Petersdorf, Keegan McFadon, Caitlin McFadon; and nephew Dennis Pimentel.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Selma Cemetery District.
