Mr. Luchen F. Benton, 83 years old, was born to Almos & Daisy Benton on October 2, 1940 in Maynard Arkansas. He passed away Peacefully on March 17, 2024 in Clovis, California.
He was married to his loving wife, Yvonne Benton for 62 years and had 3 sons.
He lived in many cities and states throughout his life but settled in California. He worked at Gallo and Heublein Wineries for most of his career. He started as a welder and worked his way up to major supervisory positions. He retired at 48 years old but shortly after he started his own metal fabrication business for a few years. Later he was asked to be a Welding Inspector at Carnation Ice Cream, in Bakersfield, California and it is known to be the largest in North America. He was eventually asked to take over the entire project and complete it. He finally retired for good and moved to Clovis.
Luchen always enjoyed cars, motorcycles and horses throughout his life. His brothers and sisters joined him in these hobbies.
He is survived by his 3 sons; Louie Benton, Steve Benton & Ronald Benton, his 4 grandchildren; Jazmyn, Amanda, Kaydence and Keara. As well as his brothers; Lee Benton, Gary Benton, Rick Benton and Brian Benton and his sisters; Barbara Barnes, Sherry Dybeck.
