I’ve never been good with words, but I know I will never have enough to express just how much you mean to me. You’ve been such an integral part of my life since the day I was born and I’m so blessed to have had you in my life for dozens of years. You absolutely have made me who I am today and I’m so grateful. 

You’ve always shown me true unconditional love and have always made me feel ridiculously special. Thank you for being the role model I needed in my life and showing me what to look for in a husband. It makes sense that you handed me off to Mike. 

There will be so many things in my everyday life that will always make me think of you. Watching movies, seeing a Mercedes (all because of that one time you took me out and showed me just how fast your car actually went!) swimming…for quarters, birthdays, seeing the stars, and even little stuff like just having avocados.

I’m going to miss your humor and sarcasm the most. You had a way of making me laugh that was like none other. I’ve literally only had happy and fun times with you. 

I’m forever going to miss you, not a day will go by that I won’t think of you and Grandpa, I will always, ALWAYS love you.

Grandpa, I love you so, so much. I am so grateful that that I have so many wonderful memories of and with you. You were one of the biggest and best parts of my life since day one, and how blessed I am to have been loved by you. I got to experience so much life with you, and you taught me so much. From sleeping on you when I was a baby, our mornings of Popeye and coffee, swimming in the pool, me waiting at the window for you to get home from work, Crystal Lake, bringing me along on so many trips, La Fiesta, making salsa together, working in the yard and garden, your many, many tall tales and wonderful stories, you teaching me how to identify trees and fruits and vegetables, your delicious steaks, hamburgers, salsa and taco shells, your extreme stubbornness and independence, you teaching me to question what's right, your love of learning and thirst for more knowledge, you joking with every female you met, your loud sneezes, you wanting to make people's days brighter, you showing me the moon and planets, your love of a nice cold watermelon and a pineapple pie, drinking beer and margaritas, your love of the ocean, how handsome you looked in your Navy uniforms, your dungarees, your funny sayings in Japanese and Spanish, your endless jokes, your love of France, morning walks around the grapevines with Sweet Pea and Ginger, you loving Jacob, Aaralyn, and Brandon. These are just some of the many things I will always carry in my heart about you. You were always there for me, and I never for one second doubted otherwise. You always said you lived such a long, beautiful, full life. Oh, grandpa, you sure did. You loved your life, and how many people can genuinely say that. You touched so many lives, and so many people loved you. It's not the same without you, but I take great comfort knowing that you are reunited with the many loved ones that have gone before you, and that you are no longer in discomfort. Thank you for everything, viejo, you are forever in my heart and soul ❤️
