

She was born in La Mesa, NM, on January 31, 1925, to her father, Doroteo L. Gomez, and mother, Herlinda Campos.
In 1945, she met Daniel H. Lucero, the love of her life, at the Madera County Fair. Many times they reminisced about their ride on the Ferris Wheel. They were married in 1946.
Lydia will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who made many sacrifices to create a warm and beautiful home for her family. Her unconditional love and support knew no boundaries. The tender love she gave with a gentle touch of her hand would magically make you feel the love of a mother. She was our angel and will remain in our hearts forever.
Lydia was a member of the Sky Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The family wishes to thank Arminda Hernandez; Mark and Vera Price; niece, Valerie Cantu; Optimal Hospice; Dr. Kevin Nguyen; and the staff and friends at Golden Living Center, Clovis, for their love and attention.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her beloved husband, Daniel H. Lucero; four brothers; and four sisters.
Lydia is survived by her children, Sandra Jessick and husband Brian, Daniel Lucero, Jr., Alfred Lucero and wife Debra, and Sharon R. Lucero and Sal Villa; and her sister, Gladys Stafford; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, December 11, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
