Margaret Agnes Pronovost

Margaret was born Margaret O’Donnell on January 7, 1924, in Verona, North Dakota.She is the youngest of eight siblings.

She is remembered in her early life as a competitive basketball player in the North Dakota women’s basketball league.

She married Baptiste Pronovost “Bud” from Fargo, North Dakota during World War II who was a Marine stationed at Pearl Harbor (Pacific Theater) after knowing him for only two weeks. They were married for 66 years. They resided in LaJolla until the end of the war before moving to Fresno in 1949.

Margaret was a long time member of the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Bud, and her son James.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Bonjorni and her husband Wayne, son Gary Pronovost and his wife Jacquie, and her daughter Cathy, Seven grandchildren and Numerous great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Nazareth House and St. Agnes Hospice for all their care.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Nazareth House or the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church.
