

Marvin was born in Madera California to Pete and Katherine Schafer. He was raised on his family's farm along with his sister Sharon. Marvin continued to work and grow his family's farm as an adult where it remains for further generations.
Marvin served in the Air National Guard and had a passion for adventure. He was past Kerman Rotary president and member. He dedicated his life to the Kerman community, served on the boards of many agricultural and youth organizations, supporting his love for farming. He was an avid foodie and traveler. Marvin’s philanthropic spirit, work ethic and family values will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Wendy, his children; Kale and partner Lizzie, Garrah, Chelsea and husband Steve, sister Sharon as well as his grandchildren Elektra, Baron and Gunner.
A small private Funeral service will be held Jan 18, 2022 at Stephen’s and Bean Funeral Chapel at 10am. The family asks that since Marvin’s passing was due to Covid that his friends attend his Celebration of Life that takes place this March with more information to follow.
