Jane was born in Fresno, CA, on July 25, 1930, and graduated from Central High School, also in Fresno. She completed a dental nursing course, but never entered the field. She worked for the Fresno County Welfare Department. On November 9, 1965, she married Angelo Frank Zito. They lived in San Francisco, CA, for a while when Angelo was in the United States Navy. She became a stay at home mom in 1969.
Jane was quiet and shy, but always neat and organized. She loved her family fiercely. Dogs always took to her first and sought her out. She was always a great listener, kind hearted, and a comforter. Jane had loved crafts, crocheting, her flowers and garden, reading her mystery novels, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was so looking forward to baseball season to start so she could root for her Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and dear husband.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa. She also leaves behind three sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and her beloved rat terrier Malcolm. Malcolm comforted her and kept close to her with their special bond.
