AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Mary Therese Mosier

11 janvier 1951 – 22 juillet 2020
Avis de décès de Mary Therese Mosier
AUX SOINS DE

Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home

Mary Therese (Timmings) Mosier was born in Dublin, Ireland 69 years ago and joined her adopted family in Fresno, CA before her first birthday. She died unexpectedly but peacefully on July 22, 2020.

Mary grew up in Fresno attending elementary school and church at the Shrine of St. Therese and had fond memories of Camp Santa Terasita. She loved swimming, water skiing, horseback riding and summer nights under the stars at Bass Lake.

In 1969 Mary graduated from high school at Queen of the Valley in Fresno, California where she was senior class president. Mary went on to put herself through college at Fresno State University where she received a BA degree in Social Work. Mary began working at Valley Alarm Company in Fresno in 1972 and had various clerical positions there over the next 18 years. Mary left the business and went to work for the Diocese of Fresno at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in 1990. By then Mary had met and married her husband, Michael, in 1979 and became mother to daughter, Lauren, in 1981 and son, Evan, in 1986. Mary was happy to be in the nearby parish office as her children attended St. Anthony's

School. Mary made many friends while serving as Parish Administrator and always felt the importance of her service to others. Mary retired in 2015, but did not entirely stop working. She volunteered at several organizations and worked part time as a receptionist at a hair salon.

Mary loved to share photos of her grandchildren, Liam and Cora, and was excited to announce the birth of a new grandchild, Juniper, in May of 2020. Mary touched the lives of many people. She always showed empathy and compassion, finding a way to brighten someone's day. She had a silly and mischievous side which made her a joy to be around. She cherished her friends and was deeply loved by them and her family.

Due to pandemic concerns a celebration of Mary's life will be postponed indefinitely.
