

Melvin R. Puccini, age 72, of Clovis, CA., passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by family and friends at the end of his life. Melvin was born on April 6, 1941 in Fresno, California, to Ernest and Margaret Puccini. He married the love of his life, Margaret, on November 22, 1969. They were married 43 years. Mel attended Fresno High School, then worked as a tile repairman for Young Tile for 25 years and retired from there in 2003. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He also took up woodworking after retirement. He took great pleasure in traveling and in camping and had just returned from a trip to Europe. Melvin is survived by his wife Margaret of Clovis; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lisa Martin; granddaughter Olivia of San Francisco; son and daughter-in-law Ernest and Kathy Puccini, of Colbrand, CO.; grandsons Clay and Cody; son and daughter-in-law Leslie and Tammy Puccini, of Clovis,; grandchildren Jason Woods,
Rebecca Glenn, and Mike Puccini; extended son Stewart McAleese and his daughters Beckkah and Natalie; his brothers Jack Puccini of Clovis and Leslie Puccini of Pismo Beach; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; his father, Ernest; and his daughter Ladonna, all of Fresno, California.
Visitation will be at Lisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
