Merrill Charles Oberg

Merrill was in the National Guard for many years. He was also an accountant, computer programmer, and owner of Intrastate Data Processing and Online Connecting Point.

Merrill was an avid golfer and also enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Hugh Oberg, Don Oberg, and Marilyn Seaberg; and great-granddaughter, Ruth Lynn Wasemiller.

He is survived by Har riet, his beloved wife of 59 years; their three children, Kathy Higginbotham and her husband Ken, Sandy Wilcox and her husband Keith, and Mike Oberg; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, Adam, Cheryl, and Skylar Higginbotham, Cory Higginbotham, Jamie Higginbotham, Lori, Richard, and Byron Wasemiller, Scott, Megan, and Trent Wilcox, Amy, Matt, Kaylie, Kelsi, Grant, and Kyndra Mahoney, and Kimmy, Josh, Tyler, Sydney, and Ethan Sorensen; oldest sister, Janet "Jo" Stines and her husband Chuck; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, April 15, 2011, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Merrill's name may be given to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 12168 N. Willow Ave., Clovis, Ca. 93619; or to Northwest Church, 5415 N. West Avenue, Fresno, Ca. 93711.
