Mollie Munoz

Mollie Munoz went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ, and her beloved family members who have previously passed. .After checking on her family, and asking if it was alright to go home, she passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026, at noon, surrounded by loved ones in her beloved hometown of Fresno, CA. She was finely aged for being 96 years young, when she completed her work in this world.

Mollie began her working career in retail stores with the likes of Jc Penny's, Whitefront, and Payless Drugstore, before starting her eventual career with California State University of Fresno Association Inc. in the year 1979, where she helped many future Alumni with procuring their yearly supplies and the correct source materials for the classroom. While working professionally at Fresno State, she pursued, and obtained a degree at Fresno City College. She retired from Fresno State and would then volunteer for many years at Valley Children's Hospital, and at La Tienda Guild. Mollie would never leave her beloved Fresno State University, she will continue rooting from the ultimate skybox for her Bulldogs to win another football title.

Mollie was married to JIm Munoz; and left a legacy of 3 surviving children, Jimmy Munoz Jr, Lorraine Munoz Mendoza, and Katherine Munoz Rutherford. Grandchildren Alex Munoz, Zecchariah Furlong, Bryant Garcia, and Diana Mendoza. And one beloved great grandchild Bryant Garcia Jr. Mollie is from a very large family from Fresno CA, She was the last surviving child of Josephine and Guadalupe Mosqueda. Mother Josephine and Father Guadalupe had 17 children in total, 14 children survived into adulthood, in no particular order they are Rudy, Connie, Ralph, Sal; Alfred, Charlie, Vera, Art, Mollie, Arnold, Titi, Manuel, Beatrice, and who could forget Louie.

Services were chosen and planned for many years ago by Mollie herself, she wanted to make sure her family was able to gather and mourn together.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave, Fresno, California 93720, on May 3, 2026, at 10:30 am.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, US, on May 3, 2026, at 11:00 am.
