Mrs. Roberta Ann Costello

She was born on April 9, 1936, to Robert and Annamae Bohm; grew up in Pontiac, IL and passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Her greatest gift in life was her love for family and friends. Her quietly competitive nature would reveal itself in high school. She loved to swim and being a cheerleader. After high school Mom was ready to become a nurse, attending St. Frances Nursing School. While attending college, Roberta told her parents about her desire to become a nun. How- ever, those desires were diminished once she met the man of her dreams, Philip Costello. She graduated with a nursing degree and married Phil on June 14, 1958. They honeymooned in Las Vegas and California. They both decided to make Fresno, CA their permanent residence in 1963. They had five children. "Mom, we miss you already!" She is preceded in death by her husband Phil.

Roberta is survived by her five children, Phil and his wife Lauri, Theresa and her husband Russ, Robert, Mary and her husband Thomas, and Lisa; her nine grandchildren; and nine great-grand-children. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday, March 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
