Nancy was born in Springfield Missouri on March 14, 1941 to Joseph Simmons and Lois Thompson Simmons. Her parents divorced when Nancy was an infant and her mother brought her and her older brother James to Fresno California. When Nancy was 8 years old, her mother married Eddie Pierini. Lois and Eddie had a son Gerald and a daughter Deborah.
Nancy graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959. When she married, Nancy changed her last name to Ballew.
Nancy worked in the office of Dr. John Quinn for 20 years. After Dr. Quinn’s death, Nancy worked at Vision Care Center for 17 years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lois and Eddie Pierini, and her brother James Simmons. She is survived by her brother Gerald Pierini and his wife Jackie, and by her sister and brother-in-law Deborah and Keith Bergthold, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on May 13th at 11:00 at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
