Our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa, has battled lung cancer for the last month. Navor Salas was born on August 13, 1938, in Monte Morales, Mexico, and passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, comfortably in his home in Kerman, CA.
His family moved to Texas in 1944, where they resided until 1953. In 1959, his family, including his four brothers and three sisters, moved to Biola, CA where they called home. Navor started working as a farmer with Tommy Couto at the age of 18, in 1956. He worked there for 24 years, then began working at Radinoff Farms in 1981. He worked there for another 24 years before retiring.
After Navor retired, he enjoyed camping, going to the casino, and simply being outdoors. He always kept his company entertained with his very fun loving and joking personality. If you knew him, you knew it was always a "Happy New Year!" Navor made bets on his Dallas Cowboys up until his last days and we all know he is still cheering them on from up above. He is loved dearly by many and will be greatly missed by all, but is now enjoying the company of his parents again in heaven.
Navor is survived by Ramona, his wife of 53 years; and their six children, Irma, Estella, Joey, Victor, Minnie, and Bea. He also has 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Burial at St. Peter's Cemetery.
