Neva Joyce Scott

She was born in Wetumka, Ok. in 1932, and moved to California with her husband in 1947.

Joyce served her community by running Scott's Market in Tranquility, Ca. with her husband for over 30 years. She was a warm and welcoming presence as she greeted local farmers, friends, and hundreds of students each day. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by Jimmie Lee Scott, her husband of 58 years; and her daughter, Suzanne Scott.

Joyce is survived by her son, Bobbie Scott and Dan Cifuentez; her daughter-in-law, Julie Camacho; her grandson, David Scott and his wife Shera; her great-granddaughter, Kenna Scott; her grandson, Jim Scott; and her nephew, Jerry Wayne Dinwiddie.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Tranquility First United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Remembrances may be made in her name to the Tranquility First United Methodist Church, at P.O. Box 425 West Scaggs Avenue, Tranquility, Ca. 93668.
