Olivia Irene de Alba

Olivia Irene de Alba or what some knew as "Oli" or "Lala" passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Olivia was born on October 30, 1959, in Fowler, California to Miguel de Alba and Irene Lopez. Olivia was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to family and friends. She was the oldest of three siblings: Michael de Alba, Alice de Alba-Uribe and Alfred de Alba. Olivia graduated from Roosevelt High School and pursued her education at California State University, Fresno. She was the first generation to attend college and receive a bachelors degree. Olivia was a proud Fresno State Alumni. She loved her career with a passion. She eventually moved to Los Angeles and worked at Metropolitan Hospital. Eventually, she transitioned to working at Corcoran State Prison as a Recreational Therapist. She was a strong women who dedicated her life to rehabilitating inmates at Corcoran State Prison. Olivia enjoyed watching movies and going out to eat with her family. She also loved family get togethers. She was a proud aunt and loved spending time with her nieces. She liked telling silly jokes, she would get such a kick out of telling people that she had just met that her 1st born niece (Clarissa Alicia Uribe) was her daughter. Olivia touched the lives of so many. She was so loved by family and friends. We're going to miss seeing her smiling face, hearing her goofy jokes, and her contagious laughter. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She is survived by the following immediate family members: Irene de Alba, Michael de Alba, Maria de Alba, Alfred de Alba, Elsa de Alba, Alice de Alba-Uribe, Clarissa Uribe, Krista Uribe, Rayann Uribe, Jolene Uribe, Erica de Alba, Adelina de Alba, Isabelle de Alba, and Annalise de Alba. A visitation for Olivia will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 6:00 PM, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 E. Champlain Dr, Fresno, CA 93730. A committal service will occur Friday, November 19, 2021 at Clovis Cemetery District, 305 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612.
