

Pete Anthony Cervantes, a native of Fresno, was born February 21, 1949, Fresno, Ca. He lived on the westside in a neighborhood called "Sunset". He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the age of 62.
Pete graduated from Central Union High School where he was an outstanding all star basketball player for the varsity team. He attended Fresno City College and worked for the Internal Revenue Service and Social Security Administration and retired with 35 years of service. He also worked part time for the YMCA where he made many friends and was a amateur photographer for many events.
Pete loved bike riding, gardening, marathon running, racquetball, going to the coast, barbecuing with his children and babysitting his grandchildren. He will be remembered by his sense of humor, his vibrant personality his loyalty to his friends and the way he lit up the room with his presence and his bright colored shirts. Pete was a loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Cousin and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Epifania Cervantes and his brothers, Joe and Manuel and sister Rosie.
Pete is survived by his loving children and grandchildren; Son; Pete Anthony II, Matthew Steven, Daughter: Jaymee Cervantes and their Mother Betty Archuleta who he was married to over 20 years, his granddaughters; Vanessa, Samantha, Eva, Haylee and his only grandson, Jonathon.
He also was survived by his loving companion, Pauline Rodriguez. Brothers; Jesse, Coke and Sisters; Vickie, Carol, Francis and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
