Richard “Rich” Vaughan Baker Jr., at 62 years of age, passed on from this existence on December 30th, 2025, from ongoing medical complications. Richard was born June 22nd, 1963 to Richard Vaughan Baker Sr. and Frances Ruth Balsinger in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Richard was a loving, caring, and generous individual that made a well respected and appreciated career in truss engineering, sales, and design. His commitment to and love for the community of Clovis, California was incredibly strong. He was a justifiably proud person, with a stern and principled attitude. He held hobbies, such as golf, late night QVC purchases, and social interaction. He will be missed by many people from all walks of life.
Richard is survived by a good deal of family, friends and colleagues. This includes: sisters, Vivian and Virginia; daughters, Rose and Lovena; stepsons, James and Michael; and granddaughters, Hunter, and Shiloh. Richard joined his daughter, Serenity, his brother, Bill, and his parents in the next life.
The services for Richard will be held on Fri. Feb. 20th 2026. The Funeral and Reception service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns, and Blair Funeral Home.
