Dick and I grew up as neighbors on Madison Ave in Fresno. Our parents were friends and as kids, we "camped out" in Dickie's backyard, sleeping not in tents but on blankets out mom's made up for us. We were amazed by the stars in the Universe. I remember his prized Homing Pigeons in the Avery his dad (Ted) built behind their garage. We dug "forts" in the vacant lots  behind Madison Ave (that faced Belmont Ave) and had Pomegrante "wars" (there were a couple of large  Pomegranate trees on the vacant lots). We were classmates K-12 (I've included Dick's Senior photo from our RHS'58 Yearbook. Life was good for kids back then. It was great having Dick as a friend and although we drifted apart when I moved to the east coast in the '60s, we always touched base at RHS reunions over the years. When the reunions were discontinued in 2018 after the 60th, communication with classmates was only going to be via email...I didn't have an email address for Dick so I called him last year, only to be told that he didn't do email. 

Rest In Peace Dick. You had a life well lived.

Thanks Dick (Daddy Rabbit) for your friendship over the years. I knew I could always count on you when I needed help when I was President and Poker Run Chairman with the Mountain Toppers 4 WDC. The memories I will have for the rest of my life will forever my be on mind. Until we meet again …. RIP

Dick you will be missed.  Thank you for the memory's  we had  S.A.R.  and trail openings, years of work with the club events. The years have passed but the memories last a lifetime.  Rest In Peace my friend.
