I worked around Richard. He was a very proper, orderly and kind kind, respectable and considerate friend. Nancy you were blessed to have him for your husband. I was saddened to hear of his passing. As it is said, "God truly takes the best".  Rest now faithful servant.

Richard Keck was my friend.  I will miss him.  I've known him for over 20 years--maybe 30.  Richard was faithful to God and to His church.  Richard "discovered" the property where Quail Lake Community Church is right now.  He was the keeper of the Lake.  He watched over it and made sure it was taken care of.  Nobody asked him to do that--he just took it on and we appreciated it.  Richard appreciated history.  That might be something common to folks as they get older, but Richard worked at it.  He retained old things and tried to make them look and function as if they were new.  Nancy we pray that God will comfort you and the family and give you good memories.

I met Richard when I started at Quail Lake Community Church in 2008. Most Sundays he sat in the row in front of my family. He was always so friendly, talking about his job, sharing his love of local history,  asking how my class was doing, and sharing anecdotes about his daughter Marisa’s classroom . He loved helping her put up bulletin boards!

First off I'm so saddened to hear of Richard's passing!!  I was Pauline and herbs merks caregiver..met Richard at church there wasnt a time when he'd come over and visit with them and massage herbs shoulders ( he loved that) and the stories between mr merk and richard..he will be missed...my prayers go out to his family...

Dear Nancy               Even though it has been years since we have all been together, I have fond memories of the Keck family.  The last time I saw Richard was at Gottschalk’s in the men’s dept.   We visited for a few minutes. The large family get togethers when Anna and Kenneth and grandma and grandpa were alive and all of the children and cousins sat around the table are favorite memories! Nancy, Olivia, Marissa, and the rest of your family, 
I’m sorry for your loss. I pray that you find peace  and comfort in the memories that you have. I will miss hearing a story or two when I would see him. He was a genuine and good person.  I remember he used a dolly and when he returned it, it had a fresh coat of paint on it. I will miss all of his goodness. We need more people like him. Peace to your family. Joni
