Richard was a beloved husband, a devoted father to two cherished children, and a proud brother to his two surviving sisters. His family and friends were the center of his world, and he poured his love and care into every relationship.
A lifelong Californian, Richard dedicated 35 years of his career to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad, where his hard work and steadfast nature left an enduring legacy among his colleagues.
Beyond his professional life, Richard was a man of many passions. He found joy in nurturing plants, always tending to his garden with a gentle touch. His love for sports brought him great excitement, whether he was cheering from the sidelines or participating with enthusiasm. Above all, Richard truly loved people, greeting everyone he met with warmth, humor, and kindness.
Richard’s remarkable life and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private family service will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant something in Richard's memory or extend a simple act of kindness to another in his honor.
