Sandra Joy Wamsley, age 61 of Escondido, CA passed away on January 21st, 2026. Sandi is survived by her mother, Linda (Joe) Wilbur; children: Cassie Barker, Sarah Barker and Maxie Grace Barker; Sisters: Donna Hiser, Laura Vatenos, and Lisa Shaw, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sandi was preceded in death by her father Jack Wamsley and grandparents Olindo and Dorothy Panicucci.
Sandi graduated from Paradise Valley High School, in 1982 and Arizona State University in 1986 with an associates in art. Sandi had a fulfilling career as a special education assistant before
working in Human Resources with the Encinitas school district up until her unexpected passing. Sandi was a loving and devoted mother, a kind and accepting friend and an advocate for many causes such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Sandi will be dearly missed by her family, friends and the many people she impacted throughout her life.
