Sharon was born into the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma on April 12th, 1945. When she was 16 years old, Sharon left home to to Fresno, California. In her own words, she left Oklahoma with just “5 dollars and a chocolate candy bar” in her hand.
In 1962, she met the love of her life, William G. Carrasco, Jr. Shortly after, they married and built a beautiful life together. They were blessed with 2 children; William III and Cecilia.
Sharon was always praised by her family for being an intelligent and hardworking woman. Despite only graduating high school and taking some college courses, she worked her way up in the engineering industry, while raising her children. Her family admires her amazing work ethic and ability to manage a household while working long hours. After 30 years of working at Pacific Bell as an engineer, she retired. In 1992, she and her husband founded White Bear Transportation Inc. in Fresno, CA, which was named after her great-great-great-great Grandfather, Chief Satanta of the Kiowa Tribe.
Sharon’s kindness and faithfulness in the Lord was known to all her friends and family. She led by example in faithfulness for all those around her. She never failed to encourage her children and grandchildren to trust God to guide whatever they do.
