

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shawnessy Danielle Fulsom, who left us peacefully on October 8, 2024, in Fresno, California. Born on February 9, 1977, in Long Beach, California, Shawnessy lived a life full of love, adventure, and meaningful connections.
Shawnessy is survived by her loving daughter, Shawncai Fulsom, her granddaughter Sunshine Fulsom, mother Saundra Lewis, sisters Bennetta (Fulsom) Ealy (Avery Ealy) and Shaliek Rikkey Fulsom, niece Empresse Fulsom, nephew Caleb Clark (Fulsom) and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Ella Mary Johnson and Nancy Fulsom, grandfathers Edward Johnson and Benjamin Fulsom, stepfather Thomas Lewis, her aunt Wanda Johnson, and uncles James Johnson and Otis Johnson.
Shawnessy was dedicated in her twenty-seven years as a Claims Specialist for the Social Security Administration, where she thrived and received many accolades and certificates of achievement along with meritorious awards. In addition to her professional life, Shawnessy enjoyed Reading, Dancing, Listening to Music and Cooking, especially the Thanksgiving fried turkey. Her specialty dish was Jambalaya. She supported the fundraisers of her nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Shawnessy will remember her for her both stern and funny nature. She always had a joke no matter the situation, and she was always laughing at videos on TikTok. She had a unique ability to lend a listening and consoling ear to cousins and friends that may call in need at all times of the night.
A celebration of Shawnessy's life will be held on November 2, 2024, at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel starting at 4:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to gather to share memories and honor a remarkable life.
Shawnessy left an uncle, a host of aunts and many cousins here, in Louisiana and Oklahoma, to celebrate her life.
Shawnessy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her, as she was Wonder Woman to everyone.
