Stella Aguirre Chavez

She worked as a homemaker lovingly raising her seven children and eventually worked for Fresno Unified School District for nineteen years as an instructional assistant.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Natividad and Jesus Aguirre, her son Raul Chavez, her husband Jesse Chavez, three brothers, two sisters and an unborn sibling.

She is survived by her children Rebecca Chavez Mestas, Richard Chavez and his wife Angelina Estrada, Juanita Chavez and her husband Joel Aranaz, Rachel Chavez and her husband Mark Rivera, Rhonda Chavez and her husband Paul Caprioglio, and Robert Chavez. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, funeral services are limited to family only. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
