We are here today in remembrance of Tamara Louise Montoya. She was born August 21, 1961 in Alexandria, Virginia to Joe V. Montoya and Shirley Thompson in a Military Hospital. She was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.
When she was younger her father remarried so she had a total of 8 brothers and sisters. They are Tim, Christopher, Nancy, Steve, Ronald, Joseph (Sephi), Kellie and Sundae.
She was outgoing, energized and action oriented, intuition oriented, logic oriented, focused on the details. She was loving, kind, gentle and had a great sense of humor. As a child she played volleyball, she'd go out bowling, roller skating and swimming. She talked about being a girl scout but I don't think she was one. She loved reading and practicing her bowling. In Elementary she won the Presidential Award in physical fitness one year. For High School she went to Sunset but she did not graduate however she did obtain her GED in Montica. Lunch was her favorite subject and her favorite teacher of all was Ms. Lee. Her friends while growing up were Susan, Carrie, Vicky, Teresa. These ladies were all her best friends.
Tam had 4 beautiful children Traci, Melissa, Larry and Brittany. She had 8 grandchildren Angelica, Miladi, Youssef, Matthew, Malie,Maleah, Calvin and Marquis.
She was a homemaker her entire life. As I said before she enjoyed volleyball and bowling but in High School and her adult years she liked watching football on TV. Her favorite football team is the 49ers. Tam would talk about politics when her father during the days she was home. She enjoyed country music, Gospel and loved Mariah Carey. She was baptized in the Mormon faith in recent years she did not practice this. She simply would tell me that she believes there is a God and he is always with her. She didn't travel much but she traveled through her father.
God called her name on February 15, 2014. She was at Uncle Johnny's house in Fresno, California. Her cause of death is unknown to us and to us here we feel it was too early for you to leave, however you're with God now watching over us.
She is survived by her father, brothers, sisters, her four children, her 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
We are all going to miss you Auntie. we love you and you are always going to be in our hearts.
