"It's Not The Destination It's The Journey"

Tom passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side after a heroic battle

with cancer on Friday, November 29, 2013. He was born at Santa Rosa General

Hospital. Tom was an alter boy at Our Lady of Lords in Colusa, Boy Scouts, 4-H,

graduated from Colusa High and University of Colorado.

Tom served in the United States Air Force at Castle Air Force Base as senior airman in

system navigation and avionics where he received honors. Tom worked in the medical

equipment field service for over 32 years. He was independent owner and general

manager of Laboratory Service Solutions as a senior laboratory equipment specialist

since 1998.

Tom is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Sandy, their dog Maggie, his

stepchildren Kelly Scharton & his partner Melinda Mullins, Kimberly Tillman & husband

Eric and his grandchildren Avery & Addison Tillman, sisters Joanne Schwartz, Barbara

Johnson & her husband Fred, Betty Chames and many nieces and nephews

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Elizabeth Armocido Seavers, his

father Joseph Able Carrey and his sister Helen Chames Edger.

His passion besides being with his family was riding his motorcycle. Tom was a rider at

heart all of his life. He traveled all around the United States enjoying his free spirit and

the fellowship of his friends and the people he would meet along the way.

Tom was involved with Muscular Dystrophy, Make-A- Wish Foundation at Rumble- To-

The-Summit events, Fresno Harley Owners Group, Ham radio operator; enjoyed radio

controlled cars and helicopters, enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, leather crafting,

sailing and so much more. Tom lived life to the fullest.

Tom was a stand up man, a patriot & well liked and respected professionally and

personally by all who knew him. His zest for life was contagious with anyone who he

came in contact with and his laugh would fill a room ... he will be greatly missed by all of

us.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
