Father Thomas Michael Timmings, age 70, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in Hughson, CA. He was born in Fresno, CA to William J. and Dorothy Timmings. He attended St. Therese Grammar School and Ryan Prep Seminary in Fresno. He attended college at St. John's Seminary, Camarillo, CA, and was ordained on May 22, 1970, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Fresno, CA.
He was assigned to a variety of parishes from Delano to Atwater, and served for 45 years in the Diocese of Fresno.
Fr. Tom is survived by his brother, William J. Timmings and his wife Jean; his sister, Mary T. Mosier and her husband Michael; his nieces, Kristi Bascom and her husband Leon; their children, Cole and Drew Bascom, Mindy Timmings, Lauren Sutherlin and her husband Eric; and nephew, Evan Mosier.
A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, in Atwater, CA, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Fresno, CA, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
A Private Inurnment will be held at a later date.
