

Tommy Speed was born on September 5th, 1953 and passed away May 12, 2016 at the age of 62. He was born in Fresno and graduated from Fresno High, class of ‘71. At a very early age, Tommy picked up a pair of drumsticks which sparked a lifelong passion for music. He played in many bands, most recently Tommy Swing, in numerous venues all over the Central Valley. Tommy strived to put a smile on the faces of the people he encountered daily. He was quick-witted, kind-hearted and gave everything he could to those he cared about and those who needed it most.
Tommy is survived by his mother, Freda Kerbyson, his two daughters Tammy Speed and Jana Cameron and their husbands, Anthony Maciel and Eric Cameron, as well as his sister Rose Johnson, her husband Wes Johnson, and his brother John Kerbyson. He is also survived by his partner and his rock, Sherry Miller. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Alton Speed and his brother John Speed.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20th at Belmont Memorial Park. A reception to continue celebrating Tommy's life will be announced at the conclusion of the Graveside Service.
