Valerie Allyn Willingham

Valerie’s heart overflowed with love for her family. A mother to Aunna Lopez, Jason Willingham, and Brittany Cameron, as well as a grandmother to Ariana, Aalijah, Aidon, Ace, Baylee, and “Mimi” to Finnick and Rory. She spent her days loving and living for her family. Valerie is survived by her sisters Christina Haugh and Gayle Cameron.

When Valerie was not spending time with her family she filled her days with arts, crafts, gardening, and genealogy research. She was an artist, she learned many different art mediums and created beautiful pieces. Each day she demonstrated her love, patience, and talent.

Valerie held many lifelong friendships such as her oldest friend and sister in faith, Debbie Abalos. She was also a friend to all. Her ability to easily engage with anyone and everyone sometimes frustrated her children and grandchildren as they approached a checkout lane or stranger in a store aisle; however, this was one of her strongest traits of love which exhibited her open heart to others. Valerie was the most forgiving, loving, and accepting person anyone could meet. She was a mother to all , staying up late to make sure we arrived home safely, making sure people had what they needed, even at her own expense or if it was her last dollar.

Although faced with many losses and pain throughout her life, she demonstrated her optimism and strength through the trying times and pain to enjoy her family and bring magic to every event. Her love of camping was a core memory from childhood with her mother and sisters. She loved going on beach trips to collect seashells, and spending time with her grandchildren watching movies, crafting, or baking.

Valerie was a believer and prayed over her family ensuring we get home safe and easing our pains. She will spend her eternal rest with her mother, Marie, and grandmother, Lola, without pain, enjoying the outdoors, and watching over her loved ones.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Harlan Ranch Clubhouse, 1620 N Leonard Ave, Clovis, CA 93619
